Our St. Patrick’s Gala dinner took place on Monday 17^th March and was a great success. The evening started with a crémant cocktail and the chat amongst guests was in full swing when the dining doors opened for guests to take their places. The food was delicious. The music performed by Alizetti was fantastic. And the showcase Irish dancing from Comhaltas, led by Claire Fitzpatrick, was both interesting and highly entertaining.

The great news is that thanks to the support of all involved we raised a significant sum for the chosen charity, The Ilula Orphan Programme  https://www.ioptanzania.org

The following weekend, committee member Miriam Esdale once again organised Team Ireland for the annual event Relais pour la Vie. There were 32 people on the team this year and on top of the subscription fees, which amounted to €480, team members and friends donated a further €480. A big thanks to captain Miriam Esdale for the organisation 👏.

Then on 29^th March, committee member Jon Meehan gave a concert at Rocas café to launch his new EP ‘Overground’, a selection of original roots/blues influenced songs. The room was full and there was a great ambience. You can follow Jon on Spotify.
